Today activists refilled several advertisement boxes at tram and bus stops in the area of Dresden with new contents. Instead of having normal advertisements the boxes content has changed to antiracist messages. The cause for this is the second anniversary of the emergency of the racist PEGIDA demonstrations. With this action the group wants to make a statement against the permanent racist agitation on the streets of Dresden, as a sign for solidarity.
On the posters is written for example “Borders Divide, Solidarity Unites” or “I came to Europe with the idea of people being open-minded. What shocked me was not the PEGIDA-movement but the lack of reaction of society. Not reacting means agreeing.”
Alina Zara the spokes person of the group “Black Rose” comments: “This week PEGIDA is celebrating it’s second birthday in Dresden. We want to congratulate the city of Dresden. It successfully managed to give the streets of the city to racists and ultraconservatives for the last two years.
Because of the active support of the police and the small counter demonstrations the impression could appear that Dresden is PEGIDA. Although most people from Dresden keep silent, we want to make clear that we do not tolerate this movement, as well as any other racist movements or political parties. You might have forgotten already, that one of the leaders of AFD was calling to shoot the refugees at the borders.
PEGIDA, AFD and many other political forces are building up an anti-migrant atmosphere. We, migrants from different countries of the world, as well as those of us carrying a German passport, are not going to wait for someone to silence the racist voices within this society.
Today we are reclaiming the public space through public transport stops to remind you: the problem of racism, the problem of borders, the problem of PEGIDA still exists. Only united we can build up a better and open society based on solidarity!”

PM: Werbekästen an Haltestellen mit antirassistischen Botschaften neu bestückt.
Heute morgen haben Aktivist_innen zahlreiche Werbekästen an Haltestellen im Dresdner Stadtgebiet mit neuen Inhalten versehen. Statt herkömmlicher Reklame hängen in den Kästen nun antirassistische Botschaften. Anlass hierfür ist der zweite Jahrestag der Entstehung der rassistischen Pegidademonstrationen. Die Gruppe will damit ein Zeichen setzen gegen die andauernde rassistische Hetze auf Dresdens Straßen und für eine solidarische Gesellschaft eintreten.
Auf den Plakaten steht beispielsweise “Grenzen entzweien – Solidarität vereint” oder “Ich kam nach Europa und dachte, dass die Menschen hier aufgeschlossen sind. Was mich am meisten geschockt hat war nicht die PEGIDA-Bewegung, sondern die mangelnde Reaktion der Gesellschaft.
Alina Zara, Pressesprecherin der Gruppe “Black Rose” erklärt zum Hintergrund der Aktion: “Diese Woche feiert PEGIDA den zweiten Geburtstag in Dresden. Wir möchten der Stadt Dresden dazu gratulieren. Sie hat es erfolgreich geschafft, in den letzten zwei Jahren Rassist_innen und Ultrakonservative auf ihren Straßen zu tolerieren.
Durch die aktive polizeiliche Unterstützung und die kleinen Gegendemonstrationen, könnte der Eindruck entstehen, Dresden wäre PEGIDA. Obwohl die meisten Menschen in Dresden schweigen, wollen wir klar machen, dass wir diese Bewegung nicht tolerieren – genausowenig wie jede andere rassistische Bewegung oder Partei!
Vielleicht haben Sie vergessen, dass eine der führenden AfD-Politikerinnen dieses Jahr den Einsatz von Schusswaffen an den Grenzen forderte?!
PEGIDA, AfD und viele andere politische Kräfte kreieren eine migrant_innenfeindliche Atmosphäre. Wir, sowohl Migrant_innen aus verschiedenen Ländern, als auch diejeniegen unter uns mit einem deutschen Pass, werden nicht auf jemanden warten, der für uns die rassistischen Stimmen in dieser Gesellschaft zum Schweigen bringt. Darum eignen wir uns heute den öffentlichen Raum in Form von Haltestellen des oeffentlichen Nahverkehrs an, um Sie daran zu erinnern: Das Problem Rassismus, das Problem staatlicher Grenzen und das Problem PEGIDA bestehen weiterhin. Nur gemeinsam können wir eine bessere, offene und solidarische Gesellschaft schaffen!”
